Welcome! We are excited that you want to create a project on Hub4Sys.

This page contains step by step instructions on how to get started with Hub4sys project.

You'll first learn how to:

• Create a project
• Subsribe to a project

For each project, you'll be able to contribute, to add, remove or update a whole set of artifacts which aim to detail the needs, the behavior, the arhictecture or any part of your system. To manage easily your different artifacts, you'll have the possibility to sort your artifacts. We'll see how to:

• Add specification documents
• Add models
• Add or create an executable
• Add other media like videos or images

After filling your first project, you'll can share your project with colleagues or contributors.

You'll learn to:

• Add member to a project
• Change the role of a member of the project

But the first step is to create a project or subscribe to a project. Then, you'll be able to contribute.

Create a project

From the welcome page, you'll have to join your projects by clicking on you login at the top right and then on "My Projects".

Then click on new project at the top right.

This will prompt you to fill some basic field for your new project including:

• A name
• A summary which will be displayed in the small card of your project. This field supports Markdown language.
• An optional larger description to give more details about this new awesome project. This field supports Markdown language.
• A status for your project : Public or Private. Public is checked by default.

That's it! You create your first project on Hub4Sys.

Subscribe to a project

As Hub4Sys is built as a sharing platform, you'll have the choice to subscribe and follow other projects. To do that, you'll only have to select a project on the home page and to click on "Subscribe" at the top right.

When it's done you'll have access to public project, but you can't yet contribute to it.

If you want to find a project subscribe to there is 3 methods :

• Link to a specific project
• Project Highlight
• Project List

Contribute to a project

To contribute to a project, you'll have to ask to the owner of the project.

In the "Users" tab of the project, click on "Ask to Contribute".

Then you can chose what role you want to have in this project and click on Validate. Then, the owner will have the possiblity of to validate your demand, and you will be from this time a fully contributor of this project.

Edit a project

After the creation of a project, the creator will be able to modify its details and finish its configuration in the Home page of the project.

Click on the first "Edit" Button.

This will open a pop-up, allowing you to :

• Set an image to customize your project
• Set an icon to symbolise your project
• Change the summary of your Project

You can also try the second button.

This will open a second pop-up, allowing you to :

• Set the privacy of the project
• Change its description
