Exporting Requirements to ReqIF file

Exporting requirements to a ReqIF (Requirements Interchange Format) file from your project is a process designed to preserve all the intricate details of your requirements, including HTML formatting, images, and hyperlinks, ensuring they are accurately represented in the ReqIF format.

Exporting requirements

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to perform this export:

  1. Open your project: begin by launching the project from which the requirements will be exported.

  2. Navigate to Model Explorer: within your project environment, locate the Model Explorer tab. This section provides a structured view of your project's components, including models.

  3. Select your model: in the Model Explorer tab, identify and select the model containing the requirements you wish to export.

  4. Export requirements: after selecting the appropriate model, right-click on it to reveal a context menu. From this menu, choose the option for Export requirements in a .reqif file.

Following these steps initiates the export process, compiling all the requirements associated with the selected model into a single ReqIF file. This file can then be used for sharing requirements across different systems or stakeholders, maintaining fidelity to the original content and structure.

The generated ReqIF file can be found within the 'export' folder, located in the 'your project' directory of your workspace.
